Transition

Well, we are almost there. It is hard to put into words what fills my heart as I think about the fact that we are just a few days away from possessing our new home. The sanctuary is in its final stages of preparation and each time I walk through it my heart is filled with a sense of expectancy, excitement and joy.
It has been a long journey, longer than I would have wanted and I am sure longer than you wanted, but none the less it is a journey that we have taken together. Your prayers, your love, your support, your strength and your giving-that is right you gave and you continue to give and it is because of these things that we are able to do so much to minister to our community. This ability will only be expanded by reason of your gifts and giving.
I also have to mention how blown away I have been by the work days. This past Saturday I watched a whole lot of people working like busy ants getting the landscape ready. There were a couple times I just paused and thought; Lord, how must you feel as you watch your people take such care of your house. Forgive me if I am being overly emotional, but I had to fight back the tears. My wife and I are so blessed to pastor such an incredible congregation who love Jesus and love to serve the Jesus they love.
So, we will be there before we know. We will blink a couple of times and we will be worshipping in a new place, how exciting it will be. Let's not stop now, now is not the time to step back but it is the time to step up and step forward. Keep praying! Keep believing!
