The Breath of Life
Mar 9, 2010
In physical death we know when there is no breath, there is no life. The spirit leaves the body. The same can be said of the spiritual life of the church. When breath is gone, the result is death. I am so thankful to God for people who pray. Prayer is the hub of the life and breath of our church—and the body of Christ.
Our prayer center is the heart—the center of every thing that happens on campus. What takes place in the Prayer Center 24 hours a day; seven days a week provides oxygen to the life of the church, like our own breathing provides oxygen to the blood in our bodies.
Everything we do flows out of prayer personally and corporately. If you don’t have a time set aside each day to spend time with God in prayer, put it on your schedule for 30 days and see what God will do in your life.
I also encourage you to get involved and be a part of what God is doing by becoming a part of 24/7 prayer. Check it out by stopping at Guest Services for more information, or send us an email at vwcaz.org.
Because he bends down and listens, I will pray as long as I have breath! Psalm 116:2 NLT
