Spiritual Sons and Daughters

There are times when God sends someone into your life to bring you up. When that person's life crosses your path, it cuts deeply into the very makeup of who you are. I hope you've had at least one experience—hopefully more than one—in your life. I was privileged to experience the impact of Leroy Cloud in my life.
He came along just when I needed him. He became a spiritual father to me. When I didn't believe in myself—he believed in me. He saw something in me and he called it out of me with his words and his faith. I didn't have to ask; I knew he believed I could. Sometimes I thought he had enough faith for both of us to get me through. He and his wife, Janice, modeled life for Jan and me. They poured their own lives into us and I am so thankful.
Wherever you are in life, you don't have to do it alone. Someone, somewhere has gone through what you're going through. They have the wisdom and the knowledge to help you navigate the road in front of you. They can stand in the gap for you. They can believe in you when you're not so sure of yourself. They have faith and courage to speak into your life to help you become who God already knows you are.
Maybe you are that person that God wants to send to bring someone up in the faith? Are you willing to be open and transparent? When God knits your heart to someone for a season or for a lifetime, the rewards are supernatural. I encourage you to let him use you to shape another life today.
For this purpose I am sending to you Timothy, who is my own dear and faithful son in the Christian life. He will remind you of the principles which I follow in the new life in union with Christ Jesus and which I teach in all the churches everywhere.
1 Corinthians 4:17 GNT

Your ministry has been a sheaperd to my life, the water i was thirsting for, and I have been able to find the father, Jesus, I was longing for. On new years eve 2009 my little brother's hand was severly wounded by a firework explotion. This happened while I was in church celebrating the new year, and declaring this was my year.
When I found out the next day I new this year was going to bring its challenges but I still keep faith and ask for grace. After this incident my brothers heart seemed distant and cold he endured a physically painful recovery and had not been able to cry tears of pain, sadness or grive I was concerned. I invited him to our Easter service that sunday and while we were worshiping there was a sense of emotional healing going on in the inside of my 14 year old brother. That morning after 3 months of suffering and not being able to express his emotions my brother found healing for his soul. There were tears the whole time we were at church running down his face. Afterwards I approached you very exited and wanted to share this with you and let you know how GREAT OUR GOD is and how his precense touched our lifes when we most depended on him.
Respectfully,
maria
