It was a number of weeks ago that I felt the Lord quicken my heart to ask the Mayor to consider issuing a proclamation much like the one that was done by the Governor. I wasn't sure exactly how he would respond so I simply sent a letter with a proclamation similar to the one we sent to the Governor.

To my joy, his office called and said he was excited about that possibility and, indeed, embraced it. Last night, the City Council did in fact, issue a proclamation calling the City of Tucson to a week of fasting and prayer. Those days will be March 27th through April 4th. I know April 4th. I would like to encourage you to join with me in fasting and praying during those days. You can download a copy of the proclamation by clicking Here or on the image below.

As well, I would appreciate it if you would send a letter or email to the Mayor thanking him for his bold stance to call our church to pray.
 
These are exciting times, as you know, and all of us have joined our hearts together in prayer and we're seeing the answers to those prayers. God is doing a unique thing in this city. So thank you again personally for the passion you have for our Lord's kingdom and for its advancement across this city and this region.
