Get up and Go Outside Your Four Walls

A little over a week ago Victory Worship Center unveiled a dream that has been in our hearts as a congregation for years. It became a reality Sunday, June 27th, as we rejoiced in our parking lot and dedicated the new mobile medical unit to the Lord.

People come to Victory to receive food, clothing and medical care. Now we can go out to them. In Matthew 25 Jesus said, “For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me. Then these righteous ones will reply, 'Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?' And the King will tell them, 'I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!'”[1]

Jan told the congregation, “I have been gripped the last two months with the thought, and we are going to minister to Jesus.” Every time we touch the least of them, we're going to touch the very heart of God.

I am so thankful that I serve the Lord with a people that are willing to get out of their seats and into the streets. Thank you for doing your part—whatever it is the Lord has called you to do to minister to him each and every day.
