It is extremely important to me to have a sense of purpose. I know that I know that I was created with a purpose. I have a sense of destiny that lives in breathes in my heart every day. One reason I feel so strongly about this is because I know of three times that I should have died, but lived. I am still here—still alive—because I have a destiny—a promised land.

The Psalmist speaking to God says, For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. (Psalm 139:13 niv)

God planned all my days—my purpose—before I was ever created. He knew my destiny long before I was conceived. The same is true with you. Isn’t that amazing? No matter where you’ve been or what you’ve done, God has brought you through to this day. Embrace the fact that you are not on this planet by chance. You were not an accident. You have a destiny and God wants to go with you as you travel His journey he set before you. Know today, you were created on purpose!
