April 5, 2009

It is hard for me to put into words what filled my heart this past Sunday morning. As I walked into our new sanctuary for our opening service-well it was breathtaking. It was incredible. Not just the beauty of the building but the sense of the Lords presence. He was all over that place, for that I am deeply thankful and grateful. It was exciting to see the people as they just kept coming and coming and we filled the sanctuary to well over capacity- over 400 people had to stand out in the foyer and watch the service on the monitors. What a good problem! But more importantly, what a great God. Even more significant than all of that was the 50+ people who responded to the altar call and gave their hearts and lives to Christ. It is why we built this place-a bigger barn for a bigger harvest so we can touch and reach our community and city for Christ. And I can’t think of a better way to have started in our new sanctuary than to experience a rich harvest like we did. To God be the glory for the great things He has done. Again, I thank you for your faithfulness as a congregation, your patience with us on this journey. It took longer than we thought, but I can say that it has been worth the wait. I ask that you continue to pray and in fact, continue to give as we finalize the last parts of this wonderful journey. I love you all and I bless you. Thank you for coming to that historic service
