Life is full of encounters. We’ve all experienced an encounter of one kind or another. There’s no doubt you had a series of encounters today: maybe an early morning wake up encounter with your child instead of the alarm clock. You may have had an encounter at the cafe as you ordered a mocha cappuccino shake. Those experiences we often refer to as passing encounters are no big deal, but then there are those encounters that have deeply impacted our lives—encounters that profoundly and significantly touched us in a way that we weren’t even prepared for.

We weren’t anticipating what happened to us when we crossed paths with that person or that circumstance, but we look back and understand just how pivotal that encounter was in our lives. We didn’t necessarily have an expectation of it, but God used it to alter the course of our lives and maybe redirect us to our destiny.

I’ve had lots of life-changing encounters throughout my life. The first and certainly the most significant was when I found Christ. As you are reading this, I pray you have an encounter with the Lord today. Whatever you have need of, I believe God is ready to reach into your life right now. Maybe you need an encounter with the Healer. He can reach into the deep wounds, the dark disappointments and heal the deep pain in your heart. Maybe you need Him to break off the regrets that have been haunting you. He can help you let go of the “if's and only's and the ‘I would'ahs’ and ‘I should'ahs’ from your past.

You can experience a divine encounter with Him and before today is over you can know what you've needed to know. You can be freed from whatever has been trying to hold you back. Today is your day; today is His day. God has had a warrant for your arrest and he’s arresting you today to turn things around. It’s never going to be the same. Tell God you want it. There is a miracle that’s awaiting your expectation today.
