Thursday night was a time of corporate prayer for the media, the arts, and the government.  Earlier last year, Pastor Zane preached a powerful message regarding taking the 7 mountains of culture that influence society.  Those being Media, Arts and Entertainment, Government, Education, Family, Church, and Business.  The strategy behind taking these 7 mountains is that those who influence or control these 7 mountains will control the agendas that transform and shape a nation's culture and way of thinking.  Loren Cunningham and Bill Bright were both visited by the Lord in a dream within a 24 hour period with this vision and strategy of taking the 7 mountains of culture.  Loren Cunningham is the founder of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) the largest youth missionary organization in the world.  Bill Bright is the founder of Campus Crusade, the largest campus missionary organization to the colleges and universities of America.  Both of these men understood that He who could take these mountains can take the harvest of the nation.  

We focused on three of those mountains and prayed that God would release Godly, kingdom minded men and women of God to bring the influence of the Kingdom to the media, the arts, and the government.  We began by repenting before God in line with 2 Chronicles 7:14.  Repent for the sins of the nation, and God will heal your land.

"Whoever controls the media, the images, controls the culture."  - Allen Ginsburg.  We asked God to begin to raise up those in the media who are Godly and have Godly biblical values.

We also prayed that God would begin to anoint those who are artists, craftsmen, artisans, those that create.  A Godly renaissance in the arts, dance, music, drama, creating, engineering, building.  There is an anointing of the Holy Spirit that God releases for supernatural creativity, God ideas, inventions, art.  A restoration of purity and holiness in the media, arts, and entertainment industry. 

Lastly we prayed for the Government of the United States.  We first submitted ourselves to the Lord to honor the government and the authorities.  God has established all governing authorities therefore we are to submit to and honor them as described in Romans 13:1-7.  Even though you may not agree with those in authority, we are called to honor them and pray for them, especially that God's Holy Spirit would help govern with righteousness and the fear of God.

We prayed prayers of blessing and protection over the president, the congress, the supreme court, the governors. 

This was also our third year as a church participating in the Light the Fire initiative, where churches all across the state of Arizona have been covering the state in prayer 24/7.  We hosted the torch of prayer from Jan 8-15 with the torch passed to us from Trinity Christian Church and Victory Worship Center passed the torch back to Phoenix at the Start the Year Off Right conference.
